An Auburn man lost his life Monday afternoon in an automobile accident on Ky 103 (Chandlers Road).
James E. Bilbrey, 65, of Bucksville Road, was southbound on Chandlers Road when he lost control of his 2007 Chevrolet HHR.
A press release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office reports that Bilbrey ran off the right side of the roadway. His vehicle overturned numerous times and he was ejected from the vehicle. It was determined that Bilbrey was not wearing a seat belt.
Bilbrey was transported, via Air Evac helicopter, to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The accident is being investigated by Lt. Jeff Sanford of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department. Lt. Sandford was assisted at the scene by sheriff Wallace Whittaker, Captain David Kitchens and deputy B.J. Grayson.
