The Disney movie “Invincible” tells the true story of former Philadelphia Eagles fan-turned-NFL-pro Vince Papale. After losing his job as a substitute teacher and dealing with the trauma of a divorce due to his wife leaving him, Papale was told that he would never amount to anything, that he wouldn’t make any money and that he wasn’t going anywhere.

Has anyone ever told you, “You’re not talented enough. You just won’t make it.”? Has a co-worker, spouse, friend or parent buried you in doubt?

In 1 Timothy, the Bible says that Jesus gave Himself as “a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time.”

Even if the people around you don’t believe in you and don’t think you will amount to anything, God thinks otherwise. He watched as His only Son die a cruel death on the cross because He believed in you. This is a testimony to your potential.

The Creator of the Universe has a plan and a purpose for your life. Regardless of your situation, your employment status, your financial status, your home, your family or your friends, God wants you to follow His plan. Can you imagine what your life would be like if you were doing exactly what God created you to do?

The lifelong Eagles fan Vince Papale wasn’t supposed to make it to the NFL. He wasn’t supposed to amount to anything. But in the end, he did make it onto the team. He played with the Eagles for three seasons and inspired an entire city.

Today, remember that Jesus Christ paid for you with His life as a testimony to what you can become.

God bless and go Cats!
