Donald Rex “Red” Brown, 70, of Russellville, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at an area nursing home.

He was born in Warren County Dec. 26, 1941, a son of the late Walter Ewing and Georgie Ann Brooks Brown. *In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Brown and his sisters, Margie Petty, Mollie Ann Warden, Jean Claypool and Shirley Atwell.

Mr. Brown was employed as a salesman at Shook Automotive. He was a member of the Muddy River Baptist Church in Russellville. He loved all sports and was a avid golfer.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. at the J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial followed in the Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation began Friday, Oct. 12 from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, June Milam Brown of Russellville; his step-sons, Kenny Bland of Houston, Texas, Jeff Bland of Cedar Hill, Tenn. and Keith Bland of Ramona, Calif.; his step-grandson, Kyle Bland of Fort Worth, Texas; his step-granddaughter, Sydney Bland of Antioch, Tenn.’ his sister-in-law, Barbara Milam of Russellville; his son, Jeffrey Brown of Scottsville, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contribution can be made to the Creekwood Nursing Home Activity Dept. in Russellville or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
