Lewisburg Lions Club selling raffle tickets

The Lewisburg Lions Club is currently selling raffle tickets for a chance at a $300 Lewisburg Bank Visa card. Tickets are $1 apiece or six for $5. They can be purchased at Lewisburg Bank in Lewisburg or from any Lewisburg Lions Club member. The drawing will be held June 8 during the Purple Martin Festival.

Russellville Arts Council meeting

The Russellville Arts Council will be having their monthly meeting on a special date and time: today at the Fourth Street Theater in Russellville starting at 6:15. Topics to be discussed include: the upcoming “Logan’s Got Talent” Show scheduled for May 31st, the upcoming Summer Youth Arts Camp’s production of “Cinderella” scheduled June 24-28th, and Arts events in partnership with the Tobacco Festival. The public is welcome to attend to contribute ideas as well as volunteer as “Friends of the Arts” to help to enrich our community through creative and artistic participation. Russellville Rural Fire Department Annual Fundraiser

The Russellville Rural Fire Department will be hosting its annual Fund raiser on Saturday, May 11 at 5 p.m. There will be door prizes, cotton candy, kid’s bouncy and a grand prize of $300. The meal will consist of Pulled Pork Loin plate for $7 or a hotdog plate for $4. Beans, cole slaw, chips, dessert and drink will be served with the plates. There will be a cake walk and an auction with lots of nice items. A live band will be featured for the entertainment. Come on out and support your local fire department.

Car Show in Lewisburg

There will be a car show today at Damron’s Grocery & Garage. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and costs $10 for the first vehicle and $5 for each other vehicle. There will be categories for cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors. There will be food, concessions and fun. Trophies will be given out for each category at 2 p.m.
