The 56th Annual Tobacco Show will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10 AM on the Public Square in downtown Russellville. Tobacco will be received from 7:30-9 a.m..
Open classes include burley, one sucker & dark tobacco. Premiums for the open classes are:
1st- $40
2nd- $35
3rd- $30
4th- $20
5th- $20
6th- $15
Youth classes (4-H/FFA) include burley & one sucker. Youth Premiums are:
1st- $55
2nd- $45
3rd- $35
Each exhibit shall consist of 5 or 6 stalks per stick. Entries must be produced by the individual making the entry. The show committee members will make the final decision. Tobacco may be removed between 3 & 4 p.m. Friday, October 12th, except for winners. Winning entries to be removed Saturday, October 13th between 1 & 2 p.m. The tobacco show is sponsored by Farm Bureau, Logan County Cooperative Extension Office, and the Chamber of Commerce.
