A former minister and treasure of Kedron Church of Christ, located on Coopertown Road in Russellville, was indicted Sept. 21 on a charge of theft by unlawful taking of over $10,000.

According to the indictment, Donald H. White, 65, of Russellville, “knowingly and unlawfully committed the offense of unlawful taking or exercising control over movable property with the intent to deprive Kedron Church of Christ thereof, wherein he wrote unauthorized checks and made withdrawals from the church’s checking and cemetery money market accounts totaling $29,505. The items had a value of $10,000 or more.”

A church representative said Mr. White was no longer a member of the church. He is scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 18 at 8:30 a.m.
