Greetings from the Antioch Community.
The Johnson Family reunion was Saturday at the City Complex in Lewisburg. Had 40 present. They were from Georgia, Indiana, Madisonville, Bowling Green, Clarksville, Tenn. and Logan County. They had lots to eat and a good time being together.
Visiting with Myrtle Pogue on Sunday afternoon was Jean Grise and her sister Sue. Faye Brown was there Monday.
We enjoyed having Bro. Rob Johnson to preach for us Sunday morning.
The Sunday night service was dismissed so they could go to Southern Heights Baptist Church so they could attend the Revival up there with our former pastor, Bro. Jimmy Kenner preaching.
Jerry and Irene White and Juley and Shelby Nelson was on vacation last week. They went to Canada and other places too. They enjoyed sight-seeing but were glad to get home.
Visiting with Christine White was Dorothy Henderson, Jimmy White and Judy White came Monday night and brought her supper and Nancy Harris came Saturday.
Since my items didn’t make it in the paper last week, I will put my company that I had after my sister passed in. Lasley Johnson came and brought Myrtle Pogue to see me on Wednesday. Then Thursday Rosie and Don Yarnell and Myrtle Pogue came and brought me a fruit basket from the W.O.M. Ladies. My sister, Sue Fuller came Friday. I enjoyed getting a call from my cousin, Marshall Johnson, from St. Louis, Mo.
I thank everybody for the calls, visits and the pretty Sympathy cards that I have received since the passing of my dear sister.
Our W.O.M. Ladies met on Friday in the home with Juanita Key. After our meeting, we were served lunch, which was delicious. Then we watched a movie. Those present besides Juanita were Marcie Patterson, Melba Gibbs, JGeania Hoskins, Dolores Harris, Rosie Yarnell, Myrtle Pogue, Louise Henderson. Visiting with us was Ava Lois Greer and little Clark Byrd. We had a good day.
A man was talking to God and he asked him how long was a million years? God answered, “In my frame of reference, it’s about a minute.” The man then asked how much is a million dollars? God answered, “To me, it’s a penny.” Then the man asked, “God, can I have a penny?” God answered, “In a minute.”
Have a Good Week.
