Robert H. Mason, 81, of J. Montgomery Road, Russellville died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at his home. He was a Logan County native born May 19, 1931 to the late Thomas Young Mason and Mertie Sue McCormick Mason. He was a highway engineer with the Transportation Cabinet, was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Mason.
A Funeral Mass for Robert H. Mason will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jojy Joseph officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. Expressions of Sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Saint Vincent DePaul Society, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Macdell Long, Jack Batchelor, Ricky Bryan, Josh Mason, Dickie Oberhausen, and Michael Oberhausen
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth O. Mason; three sons, Bob Mason (Kaye) of Castle Rock, Colorado; Tom Mason (Debra) of Louisville and Gary Mason of Russellville; sister, Isabelle Long of Russellville; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
