LCHS names new swim coach

On Friday, Logan County High School announced the hiring of Chris Donahue as its new head swim coach. Donahue comes to the Cougars after completing four years of swimming for the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers. While at WKU, Donahue swam the 100 and 200 breaststroke as well as the 200 Free Relay.

Donahue is a native of Pensacola, Florida where he attended B.T. Washington High School. While there he participated in Swimming, Basketball and Track serving as captain of the swim team his senior year. Donahue was also named the “Swimmer of the Year” in Pensacola by the Pensacola News Journal.

Donahue has taught swim lessons in the WKU Swim Team’s swim program, worked as a lifeguard at Bowling Green Country Club and served as Asst. Swim School Director at the Greater Pensacola Aquatic Center. He currently is working on completing his degree in Business Administration.

The swim practice season begins October 1st with the first swim meet of the season scheduled for the week of November 12th. Coach Donahue can be reached by email at christopher.donahue258@topper.wku.edu.
