Third grade students at Chandler’s Elementary sent messages in balloons skyward at the end of reading the book Charlotte’s Web.
The balloons were meant to symbolize the main character’s children “flying away.”
Messages attached to the balloons ask for people to email or contact the school so they incorporate geography lessons to track where the balloons travel.
This activity was completed with a partnership between the third grade teachers and the Logan County Public Library.
