Zetta Thomas, 90, of Nashville, died Sept. 8, 2012.

She was born Nov. 17, 1921, a daughter of the late Tom Walton and the late Ida Boyd Walton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Thomas, Jr.; her sons, Ray and Ralph Walton and Terry Thomas, and her grandson, Kenneth Washington.

Mrs. Thomas was a housewife who enjoyed taking care of her family. She was educated in the Robertson County Schools. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was united with St. James Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, Tenn.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. at Terrell Broady Funeral Home with reverend William G. Washington officiating.

She is survived by her daughters, Ida Finch and husband John of Nashville, Dorothy Washington and husband William of Indianapolis, Ind., Thelma Toliver of Adairville; her sons, Delma Thomas and wife Sun of Radcliff, Jim Thomas of Nashville, Tom Thomas and wife Bettina of Cooperas Cove, Texas, Steve Thomas and wife Patricia of Russelville; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; a special granddaughter, Stacy Moore; devoted friend, Cornelius Gamble, and her daughters-in-law, Mary Sue Walton of Cedar Hill, Tenn. and Louise Walton of Springfield, Tenn.
