The Russellville High School volleyball team knocked off District 13 foe Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday night in Russellville. The Lady Panthers won 2-0 (25-19, 25-22) to bring their season record to 6-5.
The first game the Lady Panthers stayed ahead and cruised on by to get an win of 25-19. In the second game, the Lady Wildcats lead most of the game with the Lady Panthers trailing behind. The Lady Panthers turned up their game and tied the score at 18. Then the Lady Panthers would go on a roll to win the second game 25-22.
“The girls played good. They were in a cheerful mood and were having fun out there,” said head coach Terricka Quarles. “They were playing like a team and talking to each other and communicating well.”
Quarles said the Lady Panthers are going to work on their consistency and passing the ball better to prepare for their upcoming games.
The Lady Panthers will face Fort Knox and Allen County-Scottsville this Saturday at an away match.
