Garry Lawson Cardwell, 59, of Morgantown, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 at his residence.

He was born December 14, 1952 in Warren County to the late Edward Franklin Cardwell and Emma Nancy Taylor Cardwell, who survives.

He was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his daughter Amanda Cardwell Williams, two brothers Barry Cardwell, Randy Cardwell and Nieces and Nephews

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 with Bro. Roger Taylor officiating at Aberdeen Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Sandy Creek Cemetery . Visitation will be from 2 -8 pm, Thursday at Smith Funeral Home and 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the Aberdeen Baptist Church. Services will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.

Garry is survived by his wife Sharon “Franki” Cardwell of Morgantown; son Mark Cardwell and wife Amanda; mother Emma Nancy Cardwell of Morgantown; four sisters Nellie Webb of Morgantown, Ann Brady of Louisville, Judy Givens of Salem, Ind., Gail Mayes of Columbus, Ohio; one brother Tony Cardwell of Russellville; seven grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
