Brother Craig Edward Nuyt, 31, of Russellville, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012.
He was born in Logan County Feb. 20, 1981, a son of Paul Edward and Donna Sue Nuyt. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty Nuyt.
Mr. Nuyt was a minister and former pastor of Penrod Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Travis Fox and Brother Scott Casebier officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation began Saturday, Sept. 8 from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Will Taylor, Blake Trimble, Kyle Hampton, Justin White, Nicholas Scarbrough, Scott Porter, Tyler Hall and Joey Thompson.
He is survived by his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Margaret White of Russellville; his paternal grandfather, Glenn Nuyt of Russellville; his mother, Donna Sue Nuyt of Russellville; his father and step-mother, Paul Edward and Charlotte Nuyt of Greenville; his sisters, Heather Taylor and husband Will of Russellville, Brandy Trimble and husband Blake of Adairville and Amanda Hampton and husband Kyle of Auburn, and his step-brothers, Brian Turner and wife Terri of Dixon and Ben Turner and wife Debbie and Bradley Turner and wife Moll, both of Bowling Green.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to the Gideon’s.
