The Logan County High School volleyball team played its first-ever match to five games on Thursday at South Warren.

The Lady Cougars won 3-1 (25-23, 18-25, 25-17, 25-20).

High school matches are usually just the best two-out-of-three, but beginning this year, all postseason matches will be a best-of-five format.

Some regular season games, like this one, will also be a best-of-five format in order to get the team’s ready for the new postseason format.

Logan County is now 7-1 on the season. The Lady Cougars return to action tonight at home against Russellville and then play at Franklin-Simpson on Thursday in a pair of District 13 matches.
