Mr. and Mrs. Scottie Starks of Bowling Green, Ky. and Fred Taylor of Louisville, Ky. announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter LaTonya Nikki Britt to James Alexander “Sam” Jackson, son of Mrs. Ovella Jackson and the late Jesse Jackson of Russellville, Ky.
Tye wedding will take place on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at 4 p.m. at the Fi5rst Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Ky.
Nikki’s maternal grandparents are Elizabeth and Welmon Britt of Bowling Green, Ky. Her paternal grandparents are Inez Taylor of Bowling Green, Ky. and the late Fred Sweatt of Louisville, Ky.
Nikki is a 1992 graduate of Warren Central High School in Bowling Green, Ky. and attended the University of Kentucky. She is currently employed by Insight Communications in Bowling Green, Ky.
Sam’s maternal grandparents are the late Maggie Jones and Fed Metcalf Sr. of Adams, Tenn. His paternal grandparents are the late Loanie Taylor and James Jackson of Springfield, Tenn.
Sam is a 1987 graduate of Russellville High School and a graduate of RETS in Louisville, Ky. He is currently employed by Unipres in Portland, Tenn.
There will be a reception immediately following the ceremony at the U.A.W. Hall, 712 Plum Springs, Bowling Green, Ky. All friends and family are invited to attend the wedding and reception. Invitations will be sent to out of town guests only.
