Joe Huskisson, 77, of Auburn, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, in the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
He was born in Sidell, Ill. June 20, 1935, a son of the late Joseph Andrew Huskisson Sr. and the late Ida Mae Hurst Huskisson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Huskisson was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom, Gene and Sam Huskisson and his sisters, Lena Mae Huskisson, Dot Peterson, Rossie Barnett, Martha Torregrossa and Mary Kater.
Mr. Huskisson was a Korean Army veteran, was retired from TVA after 30 plus years as a boiler maker and was a member of the New Life Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. in the New Life Baptist Church with Brother Rusty Thomaston and Brother Denis Huskisson officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation begin Thursday, Aug. 9 from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. until time of service at Lew Life Baptist Church. Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers are, Gary Huskisson, Gary Huskisson Jr., Tyler Collins, Peyton Collins, Jack Collins, David Huskisson, Carman Powell and J. B. Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Mardell Huskisson; his sons, Gary Huskisson and wife Cynthia of Auburn, Dennis Huskisson and wife Beverly of Kirksville, Mo. and Brad Huskison and wife Robin of Columbus, Ga.; his daughter, Sandra Collins and husband Jack of Auburn; his sister, Annabelle Collins of Sidell, Ill.; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
