Greetings from the Antioch Community.

My sister, Mera Dean Schmidt, and I would like to say a Big “Thank You” for sending her a card. She isn’t doing much better and when you are so sick and receive cards in the mail, it at least cheers you up. My sister has been fighting this cancer for six years now. I think it is about to get the best of her. If you haven’t sent her a card, please do so. I would really appreciate it. Mrs. Mera Dean Schmidt; 311 Sunshine Circle, Branson, Mo., 65616. She will be blessed and so will you.

Visiting with Myrtle Pogue was a cousin, Boyd Johnson, from Indianapolis, and his daughters, Bonnie and Dorothy Jean, Roger Belcher and his son, Luke.

Myrtle’s ride didn’t get to come to church at Antioch Sunday morning, so she went with her neighbor and visited Lewisburg Methodist Church.

Our WOM Ladies met on Friday in the Fellowship Hall at church with six members present. They were Marcie Patterson, Melba Gibbs, Dolores Harris, Rosie Yarnell, Myrtle Pogue and myself. We had a good meeting.

Can’t hardly believe it is time for school to start already. Time sure does pass fast. So watch out for those yellow School buses. Keep our children safe.

Some August Birthdays from our church family are Amanda Stokes, 3, Don Yarnell 5, my cousin Charlie Delk 6, Christine White 10, Carolyn Williams 12, James Thornberry 15, Loretta Sears 23, Linda Cropper 27, and Louise Henderson 30th.

Friends and Family Birthdays are Peggy Taylor 5, Margaret Walton 15, Marsha Fuller 16, my granddaughter terrika Henderson 20, my Brother-in-law Louie Schmidt 21, Jean Thornberry 22ng. Gail and Jeanie Sears Anniversary 29th.

Visiting with Christine White was Juley and Shelby Nelson, Mason Logsdon, Lucy Hall, Mrs. Logsdon, Malissa and Madeline Reno, Jimmy and Judy White and Dorothy Henderson.

This is Monday morning and we are getting a little rain. Sure hope we can get a good one.

The human spirit rings with hope at the sound of an encouraging word.

Have a Good Week.
