Band camp for Russellville High School ended last week after battling with the heat and thunderstorms over the past three weeks. Monday through Friday, the 50 band members have spent nine hours a day working on their music and routine for the upcoming season.

Brian Brown has been the instructor for the Russellville High School marching band for 11 years and says this year is going to be very different from the past years.

“We got a neat show this year that’s very different, its all jazz music,” said Brown. “It has its unique challenges because it’s not something the students listen to but they are playing the music really well.”
