The Logan County Sheriff’s Department made a felony drug arrest on Saturday, July 21, after a routine traffic stop at the Southern Villa Apartments.

Deputy B.J. Grayson had stopped a white Buick Lesabre driven by Travis S. Hines, 30 of Russellville, after he observed the driver not wearing his seat belt.

During the traffic stop, Grayson was advised by the EOC that the driver had an outstanding warrant and was wanted by the federal marshals.

Hines was then taken into custody and his car was searched.

According to a report from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Grayson detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During the search, three bags of cocaine, two bags of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a set of digital scales were found.

Hines was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
