Joyelen Webb Grise, 82, of Bowling Green, died Friday, July 6, 2012, at Greenview Regional Hospital.
She was born in Logan County Jan. 19, 1930, a daughter of the late James Strother and Euva Anderson Webb. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grise was preceded in death by her brothers, Rayburn Webb and George Webb.
Mrs. Grise was a homemaker and a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. She was a caregiver to many of her family members, loved flowers and gardening. Her grandchildren called her “Nanny” and loved to eat her whole wheat pancakes.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial followed in the Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation was held Sunday, July 8 from 1-5 p.m. and Monday at 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Presley Morris Grise; her son, Stan Grise of Barranquilla, Columbia, S.A.; her daughter, Joyce Meredith and husband Harvey of Alvaton; her brother, James Russell Webb and wife June of Bowling Green; her grandchildren, David and Matt Grise, Greg Meredith, Leeann Sneed, Pam Kennedy and Daniel Meredith; her great-grandchildren, Katie Sneed, Meradeth Carroll and Addisyn Kennedy, and several nieces and nephews.
