Thelma Belle Nobel Hughes, 90, of Russellville, died July 1, 2012, at the River Hills Rehabilitation Center in Kerrville, Texas.

She was born in Michigan Feb. 18, 1922, a daughter of the late Roy and Gladys Dexter Noble. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Hughes and her son, Darryl F. Hughes.

Mrs. Hughes was a member of the Elkton Gospel Church and the Dallas Gospel Chapel in Dallas, Texas.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 4 at 1 p.m. at the Dallas Gospel Chapel with Reverend Timothy Hughes and Reverend Kanady officiating. Burial followed in the Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation began Wednesday, July 4 from 5-8 p.m. at the Dallas Gospel Chapel. The Todd County Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy Hughes of Elkton, Dathan Hughes of Albuquerque, N.M., Larry Hughes of Floresville, Texas, Allen Hughes of Houston, Texas and Bruce Hughes of San Jose, Calif.; 32 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, and six step-great-great-grandchildren.
