Kenneth Don Horton, 82, of Russellville, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., a son of the late Jessie and Ophie Horton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his first wife, Catheryn Ann Davis Horton; his brother, Tom Horton; his daughte,r Debra Lynn Scheidt, and his son-in-law, Louis Miller Scheidt Jr.
Mr. Horton was a CPA, and a partner at Williams Walker & Horton Accounting in Russellville. He was a member of the United Methodist Temple and attended the Allensville Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 26 at 11 a.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Jeff Dematties officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation began Monday, June 25 from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, June 26 from 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Galloway Harper, Jason Harper, Glen Robertson, Michael England, Stanley England and Tony Fyke.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Horton; his step-sons, Galloway Harper of Allensville and Jason Harper and wife Tracy of Russellville; his step-daughter, Ginger Butler of Russellville; his brothers, Skeets Horton and Elwin Horton both of Lawrenceburg, Tenn..; his sisters, Linda Buchanon of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. and Barbara Daniels of South Carolina; his step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Sullivan and Harper Butler, and two step-great grandchildren.
