Jones Bunton, 70, of Russellville, and a native of Woodburn, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville.

He was a former employee of Holley Carburator and was a former employee of Auburn Hoisery Mill. Jones attended First Baptist Church of Woodburn at an early age and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church for 40 years; where he served faithfully as a Deacon, usher, and was always at Sunday School.

He was predeceased by his parents Joe Herschell Bunton and Nell Lightfoot Bunton, his son Dwight J. Bunton, stepdaughter; Kimberly Tolliver, sister and brothers; Eula Bunton, Joe Bunton, Thomas Bunton, Leroy Bunton, Sr, Junior Bunton.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Auburn. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Macedonia Baptist Church. lnterment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine Bailey Bunton of Russellville; daughter, Tracy Lynn Bunton of Auburn; sons, Jones Dwayne Bunton and Terry Lee Bunton, both of Auburn; brother, Robert “Bobby” Bunton, Bowling Green; sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bell, Lucille Polk, and Ann Woods (Larry) all of Bowling Green; step children, Risa (Raymond) Williams of Chicago,

Tonya (Rev. Devon) West of Russellville and Stacey Ware of Bowling Green; 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, inlaws; Mary Helen Bunton, Helbn Bunton, James Bailey, John Thomas (Mary) Bailey, family and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Burnam & Son Mortuary, lnc., in Bowling Green.
