Fiscal Court approved unanimously a resolution supporting a grant application being spearheaded by Magistrate Curtis Watkins. The grant is for $8,500.

Watkins has been working on the project with the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) to construct a recreational trail in the Green Ridge area. Watkins said the grant, if received, would a 50/50 grant with the county. This means the county would agree to match the grant with either monetary or in-kind contributions.

I just dont understand why the county can give money to build a recreation trail and cant help a family on fixed income put rock on there road.

8500.00 dollars would really help elderly people a lot.But this is Logan County
