Babe Ruth baseball registration
Babe Ruth sign-ups will be Saturday March the 17th from 9 am to 12 pm, Monday March 19th and Wednesday March the 21st from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Parks and Rec building downtown behind the post office. Age's will be from 13 to 15 years old. Also anyone 12 years of age and in their last year of little league will be allowed to play.

Office Equipment Recycling Event
The county is hosting an office equipment recycling event held behind the Logan County Courthouse on Friday, March 16 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The event is being held for those who want to unload old or broken office equipment or electronics such as television sets free of charge. Just bring your old equipment during the hours listed.
Funeral Home Ground Breaking
Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be hosting a ground breaking for their new facility located on the Highway 68/80 Bypass in Russellville, near the Russellville-Logan County Memorial Park. The ceremony will take place on Friday, March 16, at 11:30 a.m. Enjoy a brief program, ground breaking conducted by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, and lunch.

The Southern Ky. Pastfinders will meet Saturday, march 17 at 6 p.m. at Roy’s Barbecue. The speaker will be Karel Biggs from the Clarksville Civil War Round Table. Her topic will be “Occupied Tennessee in the Civil War.” The public is invited.
Republican County Mass Convention
The Logan County Republican Executive Committee will host the Republican County Mass Convention to elect precinct officers, county officers and convention delegates at the Logan County Historic Courthouse at 10 a.m. All Republicans are welcome and urged to attend.
Wild Turkey Federation banquet
The Logan Todd Longbeards local Chapter of The National Wild Turkey Federation will be holding their 13th Annual Banquet & Auction today at The Logan County Ag Extension Building off the 68/80 bypass in Russellville, KY. Musical Showcase
There will be a “musical showcase” featuring band students from Logan County High School today at 2 p.m. in the Fourth Street Theater as part of the Russellville Arts Council “Coffee Concerts.” Band director Alan Kennedy will be showcasing students featured in the third district solo and ensembles exhibition, which is sponsored by Western Kentucky University.

During the evening, students and their parents will receive information regarding the Cougar Academy, Excellence for All, graduation requirements, course offerings, course descriptions and other related issues. The tours, which are informal and self-guided, will be up to the individual student and family members. Maps will be available and LCHS faculty and staff will serve as greeters and resource guides.

The Logan County Tourist & Convention Commission will hold it's monthly meeting at the Tourism Office located in the old courthouse building at 200 West 4th Street in Russellville on Tuesday, March 20 at 11:30 am. Those interested in tourism activities in Logan County are invited to attend.

Logan Memorial Hosts Red Cross Blood Drive
Did you know that every two seconds a patient within the US needs blood? That translates to 44,000 units of blood needed each day in this country alone. On Thursday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Logan Memorial Hospital will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive. Potential donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh 110 pounds and be in good health. The donor should not have given blood in the past in 56 days. Schochoh Community Center Spring Fish Fry and Auction
There will be a Spring Fish Fry and Auction at the Schochoh Community Center Saturday, March 31 from 5-8 p.m. The Schrocks will be cooking up the delicious Mississippi catfish and we will have white beans, slaw, and hushpuppies. The price is $10 per person. We will also be having an auction that evening. We hope to have some delicious home baked goods, Easter baskets and any other donations that we collect.
