Last night, the Lady Cougars hung around with Franklin-Simpson for as long as they could before fading late and again the Lady Cougars faded late.
Despite playing their hard nosed defense Logan County fell 42-36 to the Lady Rebels.
In the first quarter, both schools featured some tough defenses that didn't allow any easy looks. Both teams only managed a few open looks and they went into the second quarter 9-7 with Todd County leading.
In the second quarter both teams got a little more open looks than they had expected. But the Lady Rebels managed to extend the lead to 17-13 going into the half time.
In the third quarter the Lady Cougars and Lady Rebels hammered each other over and over. The Lady Cougars held a brief lead over the Lady Rebels but couldn't hold it. Todd County managed to keep increasing the lead, going on a 8-0 run to finish up the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Lady Cougars closed the ten point lead to as close as four points, but couldn't manage to close the gap any farther. Todd County would hold onto the game handing the Lady Cougars their fourth loss in a row.
