Around 800 people took part in the Third Annual Christmas for Kids held Sunday afternoon in Auburn. The event is sponsored by area businesses and citizens. Around 300 children received stockings and gifts and everyone was served a free meal. After the long line of people filed in, everyone's attention turned to the drawing for prizes (above). A gun, country ham and Wal-Mart gift card were given away in a raffle. Children registered for free for a drawing and several bicycles, toys and $20 bills were given away.

City council member and event organizer Gayle Gregory said the event was made possible because of many donations from businesses and generous cash contributions from citizens.
