If you've ever wondered what life was like when Jesus was born, A Night in Bethlehem is the place to be. This interactive, live nativity event takes guests on a tour through the streets of Bethlehem on the evening of the birth of Christ.

This is the second year that Pearce Memorial United Methodist Church on Main Street in Auburn has put on A Night in Bethlehem. This year's event will be held on Sunday, Dec. 14 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. There is no charge and everyone is invited.

Guests will learn about life in Bethlehem and have a chance to visit with the census taker, merchants, shepherds, angels and the holy family. Children will be given three coins at the start and can spend them in Bethlehem for things like making a leather key chain or purchasing an aloe plant.

Doris Weber, whose husband John is the pastor at Pearce Memorial, said they have added to what they had last year and hope people come to enjoy the experience and focus on the real meaning of Christmas.
