Ricky Thomason, 61, of Russellville died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky

He was born in Logan County Sept. 18, 1947, a son of the late Otis Harold Thomason and the late Lillie Rainwaters Thomason.

Mr. Thomason was a sales clerk with ABC Logan and a member of the First General Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 22 at Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Tom Moody, Brother David Morgan and Brother Youngblood officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ron Taylor, Gerald McPherson, Jeff Cox, Barry White, Wayne Christie and Carlos Thomas. Honorary pallbearers were Keith Tyree, Chuckie Thomason, Eric Cole, Charles Blackford, Mike Ramsey, Tony Powell, Lloyd Pearson and Jim Large.

He is survived by his wife, Rosita Thomason; his sons, Michael Thomason of Lewisburg and Phillip Thomason of Bowling Green; his daughters, Sheila Dowell of White House, Tenn. and Terri Douglas of Russellville; his step-daughters, Rosanna Knight of Elkton and Amanda Epley of Russellville; his brothers, James Thomason and Charles Thomason, both of Russellville; his sister, Nyla Beil of Russellville, and 13 grandchildren.

The family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or to Young Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
