Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is inviting all geocachers to the park's fourth geocaching weekend Oct. 3-5, 2008.

Geocaching is an exciting new sport in which people use their GPS (global positioning system) units to find hidden treasures. Pennyrile Forest's event will offer a night cache, a find-the-most-caches contest, a first-to-find cache, and traditional caches. Organizers guarantee at least 30 caches to find. The registration fee is $10 per geocacher.

For more information call Rebecca Clark at 1-800-325-1711.

Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is the perfect back-to-nature hideaway. The park is totally surrounded by Pennyrile State Forest, giving it a secluded atmosphere. The park also has a full service dining room, cottages & lodge rooms, 18-hole golf course, and boat rentals on Pennyrile Lake. The resort is 20 miles northwest of Hopkinsville, on KY 109 N. From the Western Kentucky Parkway, exit at Dawson Springs and take KY 109 south.
