R'ville man arrested on drug charges

On Saturday, July 26, the Russellville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on David Morgan, of Russellville, at the Captain D's restaurant on Main Street. During a pat down, officers located about 5.2 ounces of marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia inside Morgan's pants. After a short struggle, Morgan was taken into custody.

A handgun was also found in the vehicle. Morgan was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center and was charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, assault third degree (police officer), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, disorderly conduct 2nd degree (on foot) and criminal mischief, third degree.
