Man killed in auto accident

A Guthrie man was killed in an automobile accident Friday evening on Hwy.. 431 South.

According to a Logan County Sheriff's Department report, Jerry W. Harris, 37, was traveling north on Hwy.. 431 South when he lost control of his Jeep Liberty. The vehicle overturned several times and Harris was thrown from the vehicle. Harris, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency vehicles arrived.

The accident is being investigated by reconstructionist deputy Jonathan Shackelford. The Sheriff's Department was assisted by Russellville Rural Fire Department and Medical Center EMS.
