An Auburn woman was injured Thursday morning when she lost control of the motorcycle she was riding.

According to the Logan County Sheriff's Department, Lorie Martin and her husband, Tony, were riding their motorcycles on Hwy. 103 about four miles north of Auburn when they attempted to pass a tractor they had been following. The tractor started to veer over the center line, causing Martin to swerve and lose control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle went into a slide and Martin was thrown 50 feet onto the road.

Martin was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital by Air Evac and was listed in critical condition.

Authorities are attempting to locate the driver of the tractor. Anyone with information should call Deputy Jim Ray at 726-2244.
