After months of practice, Adairville Elementary archery team made the long trip down 68-80 to Cadiz for their first ever Regional Tournament. A very young team made up of third, fourth, and fifth graders competing in the toughest region in the state, a region that boasts multiple state and national winners. These young archers were not intimidated by the trophies displayed in the trophy case or the names on the shirts as they kept their focus and concentration and took home the third place trophy. A large group of Adairville fans stood and cheered when the announcement was made, Adairville Archery had not only placed third in their first regional tournament but had qualified for their first State Tournament. A feat not accomplished in over 75 years, when Adairville High School's Basketball team earned a berth in the small school state basketball tournament.

Adairville Elementary team was led in scoring by Jordan Campbell with a 238, followed closely by Princess Yates at 219, Amanda Crutchfield 216, Jason Schrock 213, Dayton Thompson 213, Megan Ferguson 207, Laura Hendricks 202, Alex Hughes 197, Will Robey 195, Jacob Burton 194, Taylor Blakemore 189, Emily Crutchfield 185, Grace McLellan 179, Katie Robertson 162, Zeb Delaney 159, Amber Anderson 133, and Lauren Batten 127.

But the successes did not end with the Elementary Team, Dusty Yates and Emily Chambers, who scored a 254 and 216 respectfully, earned an invitation to participate in the State tournament in Louisville on March 18th. Emily and Dusty are members of the Middle School Team that did not qualify as a team for state but their scores qualified them as individuals. The tournament will be held at the Convention Center in downtown Louisville.
