Adairville academic team wins 2008 District Governor's Cup

The Adairville Middle School Academic Team is the 2008 District Governor's Cup Champions.

The team of 19 students competed in Future Problem Solving competition, Quick Recall, Composition, and multiple choice subject tests.

The FPS team consisting of Trevor Sowell, Jacob Perry, Brittany Martin, Leah Thompson, Emilie Gill and Alex Henson won first place. Emily Chambers placed third in composition while Jacob Perry placed third in Social Studies. Ethan Mullen placed first in Math and Science while Courtney McReynolds placed fifth in Language Arts. Douglas Shoulders and Christina Link also competed in testing.

The Quick Recall team placed second. Team members were: Trevor Sowell, Brittany Law, Emilie Gill, Jacob Perry, Ethan Mullen, Dalton Gunderson, Cody McLellan, Courtney McReynolds, Haleigh Brown, Leah Thompson, Courtney Page, Angela Greer, Alex Henson, Kyle Jaynes, and Claire Hopkins.

The Adairville team also was the recipient of the Katherine Hume Sportsmanship Award.
