With two starters still missing due to injuries, the Logan County High School girls' basketball team lost its seventh straight game Tuesday.

Bowling Green beat the Lady Cougars 44-17 at LCHS with senior Brittany Roark and sophomore Sarah Speck out of the lineup.

The game was Logan's second loss in as many nights to a District 14 team. The Lady Cougars lost 73-43 at Warren East on Monday.

Despite only scoring nine points in the first half, Logan County was down by only six at halftime.

The two teams combined to go just 3-for-13 in the second half as the Lady Purples outscored Logan County 5-2 in the quarter.

But the closeness didn't last long in the second half.

Bowling Green put 21 points on the board in the third quarter while holding Logan County to just six.

In the fourth quarter, Bowling Green outscored Logan County 8-2.

Bowling Green's Erica Smith led all scorers with 12 points.

Logan County was led by Michelle Brown, who finished with five points. Jenna Wilson finished with four points and Victoria Elliott had three.

Logan County was also soundly outrebounded 33-15 by the Lady Purples.
