Winter Rook Tournament at Pennyrile state park

Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is hosting a round-robin Rook Tournament Jan. 11-13.

It begins Friday evening and runs through Saturday evening. House rules will apply. The registration fee is $25 per team and a new deck of rook cards. Early bird registration fee is $20 per team and a new deck of rook cards due on or before Jan. 9, 2008.

The resort is offering a special lodging discount of two nights for the price of one for all registered participants. Prizes will be given to the top three finishing teams. Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park has a lodge, cottages, Clifty Creek Restaurant, golf, mini-golf, gift shop, fishing, and hiking trails. The resort is 20 miles northwest of Hopkinsville, on KY 109 N. From the Western Kentucky Parkway, exit at Dawson Springs and take KY 109 south.
