Democrats' planning meeting

The Logan County Democratic Executive Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at Democratic Headquarters, 109 South Main, Russellville. Plans will be made for a reception for Democratic candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, Steve Beshear and Daniel Mongiardo. Committee members, elected officials and all interested Democrats are urged to attend, and as always visitors are welcome, and wanted.

Jack and the Wonder Beans

The play Jack and the Wonder Beans by the Kentucky Repertory Theatre will be held today at the Logan County Public Library at 1:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 726-6129.

Farmers' Market senior vouchers

Farmers' Market senior vouchers are now available for use at the Logan County Farmers' Market. Eligibility is 60-plus age and one person annual income $13,273, monthly $1,107 or weekly $256. Each eligible person will receive an amount of $24 dollars in six $4 checks. They are for use on Saturdays from 8 a.m.-noon and Tuesday noon-4 p.m. Distribution will be today through June 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Russellville Senior Center. Then each Tuesday will be the distribution date from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
