Turkey hunters are running along at about the same pace as last year. There have been a total of 328 birds taken with two of them being hens. One each were taken with a muzzle loader and crossbow while four have been harvested by archery tackle.

Marie Goodman tells me the turkey must have a copy of the hunting regulations in that before season the places they hunt were full of turkey but the absence of birds during season has been more of the case. Keep at it, Marie, your luck will change.

Folks, the weather patterns of this spring have been down right weird, and I would say that this has had quite a bit of effect on the movement patterns of our local birds.
