On April 27, the deGraffenried Chorale, under the direction of David Gibson, will perform its annual spring concert. The concert will be held at First Baptist Church in Russellville, at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

“In fact, we encourage everyone to take advantage of this wonderful production,” says Chorale member Freddie Borders.

A program of American music is planned, with pieces ranging from Scott Joplin, well-known folk songs, “Sacred Harp” spiritual songs, from “Cold Mountain” and music based upon the words of Thomas Jefferson, the “Testament of Freedom.”

“This is a rich musical presentation based upon our American heritage and presented in a special way. Everyone will enjoy this concert,” Borders says.

“If you have never been to a Chorale concert, you need to attend this one, April 27. It promises to be a very enjoyable and memorable evening of great entertainment.”
