It will be an Auburn-Olmstead doubleheader tonight when the championship games of the Logan County Middle School Tournament will be played.

Auburn, which is the defending girls champion and was boys runner-up last year, went into the tournament as the top seed in both divisions after not losing to a county team this year.

Olmstead, which has been able to beat everyone except Auburn, was seeded second in both, and the predictions held true to form.

Adairville won two games Thursday night as the four and five seeds in each division played elimination contests.

Auburn beat Adairville teams Saturday afternoon.

Olmstead, meanwhile, won over the third-seeded Chandlers girls and Lewisburg boys Saturday night.

The girls championship game starts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday with the boys game to follow.

Lewisburg won the cheerleading competition Saturday morning at Olmstead Middle School with Adairville placing second. The N-D&L plans to run pictures of the top two teams with their trophies in a later edition.
