Frances Robbins of The Tenant House and her daughter, Mary Rowell, will be selling various handiwork craft items.
Robbins said they have cross-stitched items, pillows, purses and other handiwork, all done by herself or her daughter.
“We do it all,” Robbins said.
The Shakertown Christmas is the only show the two participate in, and they have been at Shakertown every year.
Many of the items they will be selling will have a Christmas theme, Robbins added.
If antiques are what you are looking for, two Logan County businesses— The Lion & the Lamb and the Washington House— will be on hand.
Wayne Dinsmore of The Lion & the Lamb in Auburn said this is only their second time at the Shakertown Christmas.
“We try to take a little bit of everything,” Dinsmore said. Items they plan to have for sale include fine glassware, lamps, silver, crockery pitchers and bowls and other decorative furnishings.
When it comes to the furniture they will bring with them, Dinsmore said they will focus mostly on the more primitive, Shaker style, although they will include some Victorian era antiques.
Chuck Phillips of the Washington House in Russellville said they sell mostly early American antiques and will feature many nice decorative items.
“We try to have something to suit everyone’s taste,” Phillips said.
This is the fourth year the Phillipses have participated in the Shakertown Christmas and said they like to take both large and small items and offer a wide variety for shoppers.
The Shakertown Holiday Market will be held Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is a canned good or donation of money which will go to the Auburn Rural Fire Department to support local needy families.
