Brenda Covington, her daughter Chandra White and her granddaughter Kallie White are the proud owners of this newest Habitat for Humanity home. As Brenda gave a tour of the house, she said, “This house is like a mansion to us compared to where we lived before.”
The house was built in about three months by approximately 30 volunteers with Roy Sattazhan's advice and help. This is the fifteenth house built by the Habitat here in Logan County. A new house will be built on Seventh Street within a year.
The dedication of the home, which occurred on Sunday, Oct. 22, consisted of Brother Eugene Reynolds leading the dedication. After this, William Woodard, president of the Habitat for Humanity in Logan County, presented the owners with their house keys and a Bible. Then the family was presented a quilt that was made by the Logan County Quilt Club.
From all of Logan County, welcome home Brenda, Chandra and Kallie.
