We would like to thank the Logan Aluminum Fire Department and the Auburn/Chandlers Fire Department for visiting our school and having a fire safety program for grades K-5. The students enjoyed the program and seeing the fire truck.

Congratulations to Chandlers' volleyball team on being District Runner-up this year. Our team has been in the finals all five years that there has been a tournament.

Parent-teacher conferences will be Thursday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. All parents are encouraged to attend and pick up their child's report card.

Our Fall Festival will be Friday, Oct. 27. There will be a chili and hot dog supper at 5 p.m. All activities will start at 5 p.m. with an auction at 7:30 p.m. There will be activities for all ages. Everyone is invited to attend.

Preseason Middle School Jamboree Saturday, Oct. 28. Chandlers' girls play Barren County's girls at 9 a.m. followed by the boys at 10 a.m.

Eighth graders will attend The Reality Store on Oct. 26. The Reality Store is an active, hands-on, real-life simulation, which gives young people the opportunity to explore career opportunities and make lifestyles and budget choices similar to those adults face on a daily basis.

Bears of the Month are students are nominated based on good characteristics of good citizens such as respectful, courteous, responsible, trustworthy, helpful, gives their best effort, and dependable.
