We are finally having some fall weather here. Temperatures dropped into the 40's a couple of nightlast week, and the effect on outdoors activity is enormous right now.

Fishing is in a state of flux.

Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake were both 3 feet below summer pool with little fluctuation. The water temperatures dropped another 2 degrees since last week and the fish are definitely in transition now. The weather forecast shows highs in the 60s and 70s with lows ranging from the 50s with even a couple of days with low temperatures in the mid 40s.

But this weekend's heavy rains which caused deadly flooding in some parts of the state have changed water levels and fishing conditions.

Stay tuned.
