Active Day Medical Adult Day Care, located on Main Street in Russellville, has been supplying a much needed service for those adults requiring a place to stay during the daytime hours.

Adult day health is a planned program that includes a variety of health, social and supportive services in a safe, protective environment during the daytime hours.

Individuals must be at least 18 years of age or older. Active Day centers provide a staff of health care professionals, including registered nurses and therapists, to help those members with more complex physical or psychological problems and needs.

Russellville's Adult facility has been very busy lately with numerous special activities. Some of those include a visit from Sonlight Ministries from Adairville Baptist Church, who put on a puppet show. A caregivers appreciation reception was held where caregivers joined their loved ones at the center for a reception in honor of them.
