Patriotism is alive and well in Logan County because of young people like Teri Dudley, Savannah Larson and Christina Link, who were the winners in the “What America Means to Me” essay contest sponsored by the Logan County Republican Women's Club.

The students and families were guests at a recent meeting and read their winning essays and received monetary awards.

Teri won first place and received $35, Savannah won second place and received $25, and Christina (who was away at camp and unable to attend) won third place and will receive $15.
