The show began Friday, when tractors of all shapes and sizes began arriving at the park, despite cloudy skies and some rain.
Friday evening, crowds gathered for the farm stock tractor pull, which lasted late into the night.
Saturday dawned bright and beautiful and the people started gathering early that day. Families spent the day at the show as there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Carroll Chaffin of Woodburn was out early polishing his 1941 H Farmall tractor, which he bought in about 1959 when he was 15 years old. He paid $485 for the tractor then.
“I paid more for the back tires than I give for it,” Chaffin said.
Saturday featured the antique tractor pull and the kiddle pull, as well as the parade through Auburn.
In addition to looking at all the tractors and engines on display, there were other things to do at the event.
The Northern Tennessee Lumberjacks were on hand to display their skills. They threw axes at targets and demonstrated other sawing and chopping techniques used in lumberjack competitions.
There were also several booths set up around the park and at the pavilion, offering everything from shaved ice to toys and collectibles.
Saturday was a perfect day for a family outing and many stayed at Auburn Park until late in the afternoon.
