Harris Lee Penrod, 68, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006 at his home. Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan 4 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. with the Reverend David Morgan and Reverend Glendel Harper officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Lewisburg.

Mr. Penrod was born in Logan County on Aug. 5, 1937, son of the late Avon Lee Penrod and the late Lena Luthell Sumner Penrod. He was also preceded in death by his great-grandchild, Alexis Morgan.

Mr. Penrod worked at the Carpenter Co. as a truck driver. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Delk Penrod of Lewisburg; his daughters, Rita Jackson of Auburn, Teresa Saddler of Belton, and Lisa Browning of Lewisburg; his sons, Phillip Penrod of Lewisburg and Michael Penrod of Russellville; his brother, Ernest Penrod of Hymera, Ind.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers for the ceremony were Phillip Penrod, Michael Penrod, Donnie Saddler, Wendell Jackson, Rick Browning, and Wilmer Ray Delk. Honorary pallbearers were Louise Baker, Ed Gower, Kenneth Chapman, Wayne Hinton, Wendell Gibbs, Junior Johnson, and Darrell Costellow.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
